  COLOR GUARD

 

The Chapter Color Guard participates in activities and events of Sons of the American Revolution,  Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists, Alabama Constitution Village, local elementary schools, and Tut Fann State Veteran's Home. Annually they appear in events such as; grave markings, parades, new chapter charter ceremonies, banquets, state and national conventions, award ceremonies, exhibitions, sports festivals, and bell ringing ceremonies. We have five active members in the color guard; Hoyt Smith, David Milam, Ken Carpenter, Jim Maples and Jim Alexander. Hoyt Smith is the Color Guard Commander for the Tennessee Valley Chapter as well as for the Alabama Society SAR Northern District.
