ROTC/JROTC PROGRAM
The Tennessee Valley Chapter sponsors both an ROTC program for colleges in North Alabama and a JROTC program for High Schools in Madison County. In all cases the ROTC unit leadership selects the cadets that will receive the awards. Our chapter awards sixteen Bronze ROTC Medals to local area High School JROTC members. Chapter members present many of these medals. Silver ROTC Medals are also presented to cadets at Alabama A&M University and the University of North Alabama.
Compatriots Jim Maples and Jim Alexander presented the 2005 Silver ROTC Medal to Cadet James Fowler, a junior at Alabama A&M University majoring in information systems. (See picture below)
Cadet Kristine Cole was the recipient of the 2005 Silver ROTC Medal at the University of North Alabama and Compatriot Jim Alexander presented her medal. Cadet Cole is majoring in nursing. (See picture below)
